Thing has been working and painting for friends and people around him for over a year and now is his first exhibition at Art At Play. His work consists of vibrant acrylic paints and contour techniques, overlaid with airbrushing. His figures act out a variety of roles: darkly comic and cheeky, playful and caring, or deceitful and brutally frank. They seem to be testing your response as they glare back at your gaze.
The 9 paintings in this show displayed an idea of society which represents the inevitable conflict between traditional culture and developments which come both from within and without in this globalising world.
The paintings are all about listening and seeing people’s hidden thoughts. Invisible spirits will guide your imagination and broaden the choices behind your thinking.
